Necesito aclaración.  Es Poder respectivo a UE y USA para el tipo de cambio e pp.cc. tiene en mente; ¿ es sólo económico?, ¿ o integra el poder de los misiles y su voluntad de usarlos?  Porque si no lo integra, entonces quizás  ese 0,5  de fortaleza injustificada se justifique muy mundanamente con ellos. No?

Twitter Partners With eToro To Let Users Trade Stocks, Crypto

Twitter will let its users access stocks, cryptocurrencies and other financial assets through a partnership with eToro, a social trading company. From a report:

Starting Thursday, a new feature will be rolled out on the Twitter app. It will allow users to view market charts on an expanded range of financial instruments and buy and sell stocks and other assets from eToro, the company told CNBC exclusively. Currently, it's already possible to view real-time trading data from TradingView on index funds like the S&P 500 and shares of some companies such as Tesla. That can be done using Twitter's "cashtags" feature -- you search for a ticker symbol and insert dollar sign in front of it, after which the app will show you price information from TradingView using an API (application programming interface).

With the eToro partnership, Twitter cashtags will be expanded to cover far more instruments and asset classes, an eToro spokesperson told CNBC. You'll also be able to click a button that says "view on eToro," which takes you through to eToro's site, and then buy and sell assets on its platform. EToro uses TradingView as its market data partner. "As we've grown over the past three years immensely, we've seen more and more of our users interact on Twitter [and] educate themselves about the markets," Yoni Assia, eToro's CEO, told CNBC in an interview.

Germany welcomes signals from China on debt-restructuring concessions

BERLIN, April 13 (Reuters) - Germany's finance minister on Thursday welcomed a signal from China that it may drop a demand for multilateral banks to be involved in debt restructuring for poorer countries, which would remove a key roadblock to debt relief.

Speaking on a visit to Washington for the International Monetary Fund and World Bank spring meetings, Christian Lindner said that China appears to "finally accept its responsibility as the major creditor of low-income countries."

China, which is attending the meetings in person for the first time in three years, has indicated it will drop its demand for multilateral development banks to share losses alongside other creditors in sovereign debt restructurings for poor nations, a source told Reuters.

"The German government sees this as progress and we welcome it," Lindner said.

"China is a difficult partner to talk to but we need China at the table for the solution of debt problems, because otherwise we won't see any progress," Lindner said.

China is by far the largest creditor for many highly indebted countries in Africa and Asia, and has been repeatedly pressed to make concessions to speed debt restructuring.

Regarding trade relations with China, the German finance minister said that diversification was necessary to avoid risks, but not decoupling.

"Decoupling, even in the short term, cannot be in the interest of the German economy and the fragmentation of the global economy as a whole cannot be in anyone's interest," Lindner said.

French President Emmanuel Macron provoked a backlash in the United States and Europe when he called on the European Union to reduce dependence on the U.S.

"It is clear to me that the U.S. and the EU are close allies and partners in their values," Lindner said.

In the case of critical infrastructure and the protection of intellectual property, Lindner said transactions with China should be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

We have some meaty topics to get into today, like the latest inflation data and the debate about whether the dollar still has a place at the centre of the global monetary system. (...)

Shelter costs may finally be coming down

US monthly consumer price data released yesterday showed the first real signs of a slowdown in shelter costs, a promising development for Fed chair Jay Powell and anyone worried about persistent inflation.

Shelter costs are part of the services category of CPI and include rent and something called owners’ equivalent rent — a funny metric that estimates how much a property owner would have to pay in rent for it to be equivalent to their cost of ownership. The shelter category has been among the biggest drivers of inflation for months — and it still is. Yesterday’s report cited it specifically as “by far the largest contributor” to the overall figure, more than offsetting the big decline in the energy index.

But shelter costs slowed in March. The shelter index rose by 0.6 per cent month over month, down from 0.8 per cent in February and the lowest level since November. It’s not much of an improvement — and the yearly rate of 8.2 per cent is very far from the Fed’s average target of 2 per cent — but it’s notable because shelter costs have remained high even as other costs have moderated.

The Fed’s aggressive interest rate increases have helped ease inflationary pressures in lots of areas of the economy, while bugbears like energy and used cars have been helped by unsnarled supply chains and a warm European winter.(...)

But the shelter index has remained stubbornly high because there is a big lag in the data, so improvements in the real economy are slow to feed through to CPI. Idanna Appio, a portfolio manager at First Eagle Investments, said the lag tends to be about 15-18 months. Data from private companies such as Zillow shows that rental cost increases began to slow just over a year ago, putting us on track for some easing in CPI. You can see that peak in the Zillow data in the charts below.



None of these developments are necessarily enough to sway the Fed’s hand at its meeting in May. “Shelter is losing momentum. That is definitely welcome news for the Fed and for financial markets,” said Torsten Sløk, the chief economist at Apollo Global Management. But, he said, “There is still a long way for the shelter component to go.” 

That reflects the current view of the futures market, where investors are pricing in a 0.25 percentage point interest rate increase in May, though they do see cuts coming towards the end of the year.

Appio said there are three tests before a pause in rate increases is justified: a drop in core goods, a drop in shelter inflation and a drop in core services excluding shelter. The Fed has done the first and has now made some progress on the second. The third — which reflects prices on everything from medical services to transportation — remains extremely high. It is also tightly linked to wages and the strength of the labour market, so it could be a deterrent to rate cuts if the level does not come down.

China willing to work with Russia to maintain bilateral relations at high level: Chinese FM

SAMARKAND, Uzbekistan, April 13 (Xinhua) -- China is ready to work with Russia to maintain bilateral relations at a high level, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Qin Gang said here on Thursday during his meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

Qin noted that not long ago, Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a successful state visit to Russia and achieved fruitful results, which provided strategic guidance and fundamental compliance for deepening China-Russia relations in the new era.

China is willing to work with Russia to take as a core task the implementation of the consensus of the two heads of state, Qin added.

The two sides should maintain high-level exchanges and safeguard mutual political trust, promote the Pre-2030 Development Plan on Priorities in China-Russia Economic Cooperation signed by the two heads of state to take effect as soon as possible, and guide the high-quality development of bilateral economic and trade cooperation, Qin said.

The two sides also need to deepen legislative and people-to-people exchanges and cooperation, Qin added.

Qin said that faced with a world of change and disorder, President Xi has put forward a series of major initiatives and concepts to promote the joint building of an open, inclusive, clean and beautiful world that enjoys lasting peace, universal security and common prosperity, to gather the greatest common denominator of consensus among all parties and to contribute China solution to jointly addressing global challenges, adding that Russia is welcomed to take an active part and offer its support.

For his part, Lavrov said that the frequent high-level interactions and strategic coordination between Russia and China demonstrate the positive momentum and full resilience of bilateral relations.

Russia is willing to work with China to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, promote the priorities in Russia-China economic cooperation, give full play to the role of cooperation mechanisms in various fields, and further facilitate personnel exchanges, he said.

Russia firmly supports China in safeguarding its core interests, actively supports the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative, advocates defending the UN Charter, upholds the principle of sovereign equality, stands for effective multilateralism, and stands ready to work together to safeguard regional peace, stability and sustainable development, said Lavrov.

The two sides will continue to strengthen coordination and cooperation within multilateral frameworks such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the BRICS countries, and promote the multi-polarization of the world and the democratization of international relations.

Both sides will strengthen the synergy between the Belt and Road Initiative and the Eurasian Economic Union, explore the feasibility study of developing free trade, and strive for early harvest.

The two sides also exchanged views on the Ukraine crisis.

Qin introduced China's recent appeal to the international community, emphasizing that there is no panacea to resolve the crisis, and all parties need to start from themselves, accumulate mutual trust, and create conditions for peace talks to end the crisis.

China will continue to play a constructive role in promoting political settlement and restarting peace talks, Qin stressed.

While speaking positively of China's position and proposition, Lavrov said that complex issues need systematic solutions.

Russia opposes group confrontation and will continue to adhere to the direction of political solutions, he added.

Perdonen por mi deformación profesional, siempre que veo en los medios imágenes de empresas guais hago lo mismo.

En la foto de las instalaciones de Good Rebels de la noticia del país, se puede ver a un trabajador (el de la camisa verde) que:

-Tiene su PVD situada de forma horrorosa.
-Su silla carece de soporte de cinco puntos de soporte con ruedas, regulación en altura, apoyo lumbar...etc. No es una silla de trabajo.

Su compañera (o compañero, no quiero misgenderear a nadie) sonriente de enfrente, a pesar del soporte, tampoco tiene la pantalla a la altura conveniente.

Al menos y al contrario que lo que aparece en muchas fotos de startups deseables y molonas, los trabajadores parecen disfrutar de los 2 metros cuadrados de superficie libre disponible que establece el reglamento sobre condiciones mínimas de los centros de trabajo.

Tampoco quiero misgenderear a la persona trabajadore de la camisa verde.

También es digno de hacerse notar que además de poder ver la hora de salir pitando en cuatro zonas horarias diferentes, y de disfrutar de una jornada de cuatro días, existe la libertad de ir haciendo el fantoche con una gorra de visera dentro de las instalaciones porque, lo importante, es poder ser uno mismo en el trabajo.
