Mueller: 'If we had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so'
Mueller says charging president was ‘not an option’ as he announces resignation

Japan has discovered huge deposits of rare earth materials at Minamitori Island (Minami-Tori-shima), about 1,150 miles (1,850 km) southeast of Tokyo. The estimate of the Minamitori deposits indicates that there is enough yttrium to meet the global demand for 780 years, dysprosium for 730 years, europium for 620 years and terbium for 420 years. US policymakers could seek a partnership with Japan in commercializing Minamitori’s rare earth resources and arranging assured supplies for defense and vital commercial applications¿Casualidad?

U.S.-EU Trade Talks Stumble, Threatening New Trade War FrontEuropean officials have blamed a Trump administration that has had little time for dealing with a bureaucracy in Brussels already held in low regard by many in the U.S. president’s orbit. Distracting Trump has been a breakdown in talks with China and a need for a quick deal with Japan to assuage American agricultural interests.

UK finance minister cautions PM candidates over no-deal Brexit and spending“We need to get the specter of a no-deal exit off the table,” finance minister Philip Hammond told the BBC. “Leaving with no deal would be a very bad outcome for the economy.”
Opinion: America is in denial about the trade deficit — it’s not China, it’s us, by Stephen S. RoachIf you consume more than you produce, you have to either draw down savings or borrow money from those who produce more than they consume. The former is the US, the latter is China.(...) The tough macroeconomic constraints facing a saving-short U.S. economy are ignored for good reason: there is no U.S. political constituency for reducing trade deficits by cutting budget deficits and thereby boosting domestic saving.America wants to have its cake and eat it, with a health-care system that swallows 18% of its GDP, defense spending that exceeds the combined sum of the world’s next seven largest military budgets, and tax cuts that have reduced federal government revenue to 16.5% of GDP, well below the 17.4% average of the past 50 years. This remake of an old movie is disconcerting, to say the least. Once again, the U.S. has found it far easier to bash others — Japan then, China now — than to live within its means. This time, however, the movie might have a very different ending.
