En Reino Unido hablan de “crisis” en España por el abandono masivo de británicos y alemanes en Baleares y en Canarias
El archipiélago canario y las Islas Baleares notan un descenso de compradores extranjeros en vivienda.

Los compradores extranjeros están dejando de invertir en vivienda en algunas de las zonas más populares de España, según ha informado el diario británico Express.

En las Islas Canarias, las ventas cayeron un 7,7 % entre enero y junio, mientras que los precios se dispararon más de un 14 %. Las Islas Baleares siguen esta tendencia registrando tan solo 2.816 ventas a compradores extranjeros, una caída de casi el 7 % en comparación con el mismo periodo de 2024.

Las turísticas islas españolas se encuentran entre las cuatro regiones que registraron un descenso en ventas en el primer semestre de 2025, seguidas de Navarra y Valencia.

En el conjunto del país, las compras de viviendas por parte de extranjeros aumentaron un 2% interanual, alcanzando las 71.155 transacciones, lideradas por compradores británicos, alemanes y marroquíes. Sin embargo, su cuota global en el mercado inmobiliario español descendió del 20,3% en 2024 al 19,3% este año.

¿Quiénes compran más vivienda en España?
En las Islas Canarias, los compradores del Reino Unido encabezan la lista seguidos de cerca por Marruecos y Alemania. Las compras de ciudadanos neerlandeses, belgas y franceses también se mantienen fuertes, mientras que las de ciudadanos rusos se desplomaron en casi una quinta parte, según informó Canarian Weekly .

Respecto a la Comunidad Valenciana, el año pasado, los principales compradores de vivienda fueron residentes locales. Los compradores extranjeros representaron el 10 % de las transacciones de vivienda habitual en 2024, en comparación con el 24,6 % del año anterior.

¿Por qué ocurre esta tendencia?
Según ha informado Daniel Arenas, presidente de la Asociación de Agentes Inmobiliarios Nacionales e Internacionales (ABINI), se trata de un “ajuste” provocado por los altos precios y la limitada oferta.

WASHINGTON, Oct 18 (Reuters) - Brexit is likely to continue to weigh on British economic growth over the coming years, offering a warning to the wider world of the damage caused by erecting trade barriers, Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey said on Saturday.

The BoE has long forecast that Britain's 2016 vote to leave the European Union would hurt exports due to greater regulatory frictions, despite a 2020 agreement to keep tariff-free trade between Britain and the European Union.

"If you ask me what the impact is on economic growth ... the answer is that for the foreseeable future it is negative, but over longer time (horizons) there should be a positive, albeit partial, counterbalance," Bailey told the Group of Thirty, a gathering of central bankers and financiers in Washington.

Finance leaders from across the world have been meeting in Washington this week for the annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund, where the impact of U.S. tariffs have been high on the agenda.

Bailey said Brexit highlighted that businesses could adapt to tougher trade conditions, but that it took time and growth would still be less than otherwise.

"Make an economy less open and it will restrict growth, though over a longer time trade will adjust and rebuild. And, this appears to be what has happened. The same argument holds for the world economy and tariffs," he said.

The British government's Office for Budget Responsibility estimates that Brexit will reduce Britain's long-term level of productivity by 4% compared with remaining in the EU.

Bailey also highlighted headwinds to growth from an ageing population and a lull in the pace at which technological progress translates into higher living standards.

HAY QUE SACAR LA VIVIENDA DEL MERCADO
El mercado tiene una función primordial en la economía eficiente. Coordina oferta y demanda, establece precios, asigna recursos… Pero no todos los bienes y servicios pueden abandonarse a las reglas del mercado. No puede hacerse con esos bienes y servicios de los que depende el ejercicio de los derechos humanos y la dignidad de las personas.

Sobre todo, no puede hacerse allí donde es evidente el fracaso del mercado a la hora de asignar recursos respetando los derechos de ciudadanía más básicos. En la sanidad, en la educación, y ahora también en la vivienda.

El mercado no permite hoy a la mayoría de las familias, especialmente a sus integrantes más jóvenes, el acceso a una vivienda digna en condiciones razonables. Por lo tanto, hay que sacar la vivienda del mercado. O, dicho de otra manera, hay que intervenir el mercado de vivienda. Como se hizo recientemente con la energía, por ejemplo.

El Gobierno de España ha decidido afrontar el problema con determinación y valentía, porque no es problema fácil de solucionar, y porque sus herramientas competenciales son limitadas. Con todo, ha creado un Ministerio de Vivienda, una empresa pública de vivienda, ha impulsado la primera ley de vivienda de la democracia, ha asignado más recursos que nunca a este objetivo y asume el liderazgo en el empeño colectivo, sin esconderse y sin titubeos.

La estrategia pasa por tres líneas de acción. Más viviendas de precio limitado, protegidas para siempre. Más regulación, para que las viviendas protegidas no acaben en el negocio especulativo, para limitar precios de alquiler en zonas de precios altos, y para evitar que los pisos turísticos expulsen a las familias de sus barrios.

Y, finalmente, más ayudas a quienes la necesitan para acceder a una vivienda, pero cuidando de que esas ayudas no acaben elevando precios y engordando negocios.

No es tarea fácil. Engaña quien diga lo contrario y ofrezca supuestas soluciones inmediatas y milagrosas. Hay problemas de limitación constitucional, de normativa europea, de dispersión competencial, de regulación urbanística compleja, de tiempos inevitables…

Pero hay una manera. La acción coordinada y en el mismo sentido de todas las administraciones concernidas. Se está comprobando ya en Cataluña, en Euskadi y en Navarra, por ejemplo.

Otras administraciones, regidas por las derechas, como Madrid, Andalucía y Comunidad Valenciana, se resisten a abandonar el fanatismo del laissez faire, laissez passer, el dejar hacer, dejar pasar de los ultraliberales que nos llevaron al desastre en el crisis financiera-inmobiliaria de principios de siglo.

Urge la rectificación.

Trump urged Zelenskyy to accept Putin’s terms or be ‘destroyed’ by Russia

US president tossed aside maps of Ukraine frontline in volatile White House meeting

Donald Trump urged Volodymyr Zelenskyy to accept Russia’s terms for ending its war in a volatile White House meeting on Friday, warning that Vladimir Putin had said he would “destroy” Ukraine if it did not agree.

The meeting between the US and Ukrainian presidents descended many times into a “shouting match”, with Trump “cursing all the time”, people familiar with the matter said.

They added that the US president tossed aside maps of the frontline in Ukraine, insisted Zelenskyy surrender the entire Donbas region to Putin, and repeatedly echoed talking points the Russian leader had made in their call a day earlier.

Though Trump later endorsed a freeze of the current front lines, the acrimonious meeting appeared to reflect the capricious nature of the US president’s position on the war and his willingness to endorse Putin’s maximalist demands.

The meeting between Trump and Zelenskyy came amid a fresh push by the US president to end Russia’s war following the ceasefire secured between Israel and Hamas.

Zelenskyy and his team went to the White House hoping to persuade Trump to supply them with long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles, but the US president ultimately declined to do so.

The tense meeting echoed a similarly fractious encounter at the White House in February, in which Trump and Vice-President JD Vance lambasted Zelenskyy for what they characterised as a lack of gratitude towards the US.

During Friday’s meeting, Trump appeared to have adopted many of Putin’s talking points verbatim, even when they contradicted his own recent statements about Russia’s weaknesses, said European officials briefed on the meeting.

According to a European official with knowledge of the meeting, Trump told Zelenskyy that Putin had told him the conflict was a “special operation, not even a war”, adding that the Ukrainian leader needed to cut a deal or face destruction.

The official said that Trump told Zelenskyy he was losing the war, warning: “If [Putin] wants it, he will destroy you.”

At one point in the meeting, the US president threw Ukraine’s maps of the battlefield to one side, the official familiar with the encounter said. According to the official, Trump said he was “sick” of seeing the map of the frontline of Ukraine again and again.

“This red line, I don’t even know where this is. I’ve never been there,” Trump said, according to the official.

Trump also said that Russia’s economy is “doing great”, the official said, in a sharp contrast to his recent public remarks in which he urged Putin to negotiate because his “economy is going to collapse”.

The White House and the Ukrainian president’s office did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Trump told Fox News on Sunday that he was confident about securing an end to the conflict, and added that Putin is “going to take something, he’s won certain property”.

Putin made a new offer to Trump on Thursday under which Ukraine would surrender the parts of the eastern Donbas region under its control in exchange for some small areas of the two southern frontline regions of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia.

The Russian proposal marks a small concession from that made during Putin’s last meeting with Trump in Alaska in August, where he said he would agree to freeze the line of contact elsewhere on the frontline if Ukraine surrendered the Donbas.

That meeting also ended acrimoniously after Putin rejected Trump’s push for an immediate ceasefire and digressed at length about medieval Ukrainian history, prompting the US to explore ramped-up support for Kyiv, including by supplying Tomahawk missiles.

But ceding the remainder of the Donbas still under Ukrainian control would be a non-starter for Ukraine, as it would hand Moscow territory it has only partially occupied for more than a decade and failed to seize despite its efforts since Putin ordered the invasion in 2022.

Russian forces have struggled to retain the territory in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia that Putin offered in exchange, and have made virtually no progress on the battlefield there since 2022, the year the war began.

“To give [the Donbas] to Russia without a fight is unacceptable for Ukrainian society, and Putin knows that,” said Oleksandr Merezhko, chair of the Ukrainian parliament’s foreign affairs committee. 

He said that Putin might be pushing the contentious idea “with a purpose to cause division within Ukraine and undermine our unity”.

Merezhko added: “It’s not about getting more territory for Russia, it’s about how to destroy us from within.”

Trump’s belligerent repetition of Putin’s rhetoric on Friday dashed hopes among many of Ukraine’s European allies that he could be convinced to increase support to Kyiv.

That hope had risen after Trump in recent weeks expressed frustration and impatience with the Russian president’s refusal to actively engage in bilateral peace negotiations with Zelenskyy.

Three other European officials briefed on the White House discussions confirmed that Trump had spent much of the meeting lecturing Zelenskyy, repeating Putin’s arguments about the conflict and urging him to accept the Russian proposal.

“Zelenskyy was very negative” following the meeting, according to one of the officials, adding that European leaders were “not optimistic but pragmatic with planning next steps”.

In a statement on Sunday, Zelenskyy said “decisive steps are needed from the United States, Europe, the G20 and G7 countries” to end the war.

Pero los mejores y más preparados sí son :Son los mejores en hacer lo que les dé absolutamente la gana en España sin apenas consecuencias y con la calle controlada.
